Von Ischgl aus geht's dem Trifanabach entlang Richtung Galtür, in Mathon zweigt das Strässchen Richtung Friedrichshafenerhütte rechts ab. Zuerst noch Asphalt, dann auf der Schotterstrasse geht's stetig bergauf bis zur Friedrichshafenerhütte auf 2155 m.ü.M.
Nach einer Stärkung hat man die Wahl, entweder wieder die Schotterstrasse hinunter oder aber einen scharfen Singletrail direkt in der Fallrichtung hinunter nach Mathon.
