I started this hike at my house. This particular portion of the hike climbs 800+ feet in elevation, starting near 6700 feet above sea level. The trail is an easy and maintained trail. There are signs saying that permits are required for hiking and that you should call 435-649-7458 for more information. I tried that number and got a notice that the number was temporarily disconnected. It would be wise to at least try the number before taking this hike.

The trailhead is just down the road from my house. I am not sure how public the driveway leading up to the trail is, or the trail for that matter without a permit. Call 435-649-7458 before hiking this trail for more information about permits. At the time of posting, that number was temporarily unavailable.
