Vom Hotel Pestana Sintra geht es erst einmal durch das Wohngebiet über eine stark befahrene Straße bis zum Waldrand. Ab dort geht es auf Forstwegen hoch, teilweise fühlt man sich zwischen den ganzen Eukalyptusbäumen wie im Urwald. Zwischendurch gibt es schöne Ausblicke auf die bewaldeten Berghänge.
Am höchsten Punkt der Tour gibt es ein nettes Anwesen mit einem Schild "Gefängnisgelände". Entweder wohnen da glückliche Häftlinge oder der Gefängnisdirektor.
Bergab geht es auf einer uralten Straße, bis man wieder die stark befahrene Straße quert. Dann gibt es noch einmal einen schönen Ausblick, bis man durchs Wohngebiet wieder zurück zum Hotel läuft.
