Vom Wanderparkplatz führt der Weg anfangs auf einem Schotterweg an der Alpe Rona vorbei. Bald danach führt ein guter Wanderweg bergauf vorbei an der Furklaalpe über das Klampera Sättele hinauf zur Mondspitze. Die letzte Steigung vor der Mondspitze ist etwas steiler. Von der Mondspitze selbst gibt es einen genialen Rundblick über den Walgau und das Rheintal bis zum Bodensee, hinein in das Große Walsertal, das Klostertal entlang und auch auf die Schesaplana. Der Abstieg führt anfangs den Grat entlang bis zum Schillersattel und dann durch den Wald wieder zurück zum Ausgangspunkt. Es ist dies ein durchgehend gut zu laufender Wanderweg.

Von der Autobahn bei der Ausfahrt Bürs Richtung Brand. In Bürserberg geht es dann Richtung Tschengla bis man bei einem Wanderparkplatz nicht mehr weiterfahren kann.
