Von der Kleinen Scharte über Weg Nr.3 zum Lift Hohe Scharte. Über die Piste hinauf bis kurz unter der Bergstation. Hier eine Tafel und Beginn des Klettersteiges.
Erst über eine steile Rampe hinauf bis zur Gratkante. Über gut gesicherte Schrofen zur 30m langen Seilbrücke. Eine kurze Querung dann wieder steil hinauf in guter Kletterei zum Westgrat. Luftig über den Grat im Auf und b zum Gipfel der Mauskarspitze.
Abstieg über markierten Wanderweg zurück zur Hohen Scharte.
