Diese Route eignet sich vor allem in der kälteren und nasseren Jahreszeit. Zu Beginn gehts auf kleinen Wegen, Straßen den Kahlenberg hinauf. (asphaltiert) Weiter gehts dann Richtung Vogelsangberg und am Herrmannskogel vorbei. Von dort gehts bergab und nach der kurzen Steigung zum Häuserl am Roan gehts runter Richtung Neustift am Walde.
