Vom Parkplatz an der Ettaler Mühle geht es in leichter Steigung bis zum Ettaler Sattel (ca. 2 km). Von dort aus führt die Runde zurück. Dabei gibt es zwei kleinere Abfahrten. Wer das vermeiden will, kann auch statt der äußeren Runde, die innere Spur für den Rückweg benutzen, diese weist nur ein leichtes Gefälle auf.
Ettal und das Graswangtal zeichnen sich durch ihre absolute Schneesicherheit aus. Die Loipenbenutzung ist kostenlos, (kostenpflichtige) Parkplätze sind i.d.R. ausreichend vorhanden.
