Die Tour folgt dem Rothaarsteig, der an sich sehr gut beschildert ist.
Los geht es in Willingen am Bahnhof, von hier aus muss man über die Bahn und dann nach rechts, wo man auf die ersten gelben Rothaarsteig Zubringerhinweise stößt, den ersten Kilometer geht durch Wohngebiete bevor man dann in den Wald kommt. Am Richtplatz trifft man auf den Hauptweg des Rothaarsteigs.
Auf der Strecke liegen der Langenberg und Clemensberg als höchste Erhebungen.
