In Mühlwald nach dem Rederlechnhof geparkt und mit den Schneeschuhen gestartet. Auf dem Forstweg (=Rodelbahn) immer aufwärts, mäßig steil bis zur Weizgruberalm (ca. 1,5 Std.). Dort gut gegessen und ausgeruht. Danach zwei Rodel ausgeliehen (5 €) und in wenigen Minuten hinab gerodelt.

In Mühlen im Ahrtal nach Mühlwald abbiegen. In Mühlwald bis zur Ortsmitte und in Richtung "Brunnberg und Mitterberg" nach rechts den Berg hinauf fahren. Mehrere Kilometer bergan und am Holzerhof vorbei. Beim Rederlechner Hof an der Straße parken.
